Healthcare Creates Business Development
VP Role, Names New VP of Operations

6, 2004 – As a result
of continuing company growth and
expansion, Flo Healthcare has announced
two changes on the management team
to strengthen its focus and leadership
in the areas of product development,
business development and operations.
Keith Washington, currently the Vice President of Operations and Product Development
for Flo Healthcare, has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice President
of Business Development. In this position, Mr. Washington will lead the company’s
ongoing development of Flo Healthcare mobile wireless solutions for the healthcare
market, and will also lead development of strategic alliances that will strengthen
Flo Healthcare’s commitment to product innovation. He has more than 22
years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, business development, operations,
R&D, and program management from his tenure with EMS Technologies. During
Mr. Washington’s tenure with EMS, he served as General Manager of the
Healthcare Solutions unit until late 2003, when Flo Healthcare acquired the
business.
Replacing Mr. Washington as Vice President of Operations is Ted Schwartz, who
joins Flo Healthcare with more than 30 years of experience managing multifaceted
operations as an executive with several business enterprises. Most recently
he served as COO of a retail furniture chain in the Southeast U.S. Mr. Schwartz’s
expertise includes highly automated warehousing, logistics, supply chain management,
process improvement, customer service and support, maintenance, distribution,
construction, purchasing, and catalog fulfillment.
