Flo Healthcare Wins 2007 TAMY Award
Company recognized by Technology Association of Georgia (TAG)
(ATLANTA – May 23, 2007) TAG Marketing, a society of the
Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), awarded Flo Healthcare
a TAMY award at its annual breakfast on May 17, 2007. The 2007
TAMY awards recognize companies that have demonstrated significant
and measurable accomplishments in technology marketing. Flo Healthcare
won the award category Marketing for Growth (large firm).
Flo Healthcare, a leading designer of state-of-the-art wireless
mobile workstations, wireless infrastructure and related services
for the healthcare industry, won the award for its marketing program
entitled "Growth with Emerson." In May 2006, Flo Healthcare
was acquired by Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and Flo was continuing to show
itself as the market leader in mobile clinical workstations. Immediately
following the acquisition, Flo Healthcare worked with its marketing
agency, Arketi Group, to develop a series of aggressive marketing
programs for the marketplace to ensure that Flo built on its leading
position.
A significant number of benefits resulted from this acquisition
and Flo expected this acquisition to help the company expand its
market-leader position and growth. After determining how Emerson,
its InterMetro division, and their brands would integrate with
Flo Healthcare’s 2007 business objectives, a comprehensive
marketing plan was developed that, among other goals, prepared
Flo Healthcare for HIMSS ’07, the industry’s largest
annual trade show. Many pieces were created for HIMSS, including
incorporating the Emerson brand into new and existing materials,
a new HTML program for customers and prospects to communicate Flo
Healthcare’s success, an ad focusing on the leadership position
of Flo, a new web site to reflect new branding and messaging, a
white paper for IT professionals, a wireless quick-reference guide,
a direct mail self-mailer, and a parody theme was created for a
skit.
